Login to leave a comment. We took our kids with us. Burger was ok--I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but good "bar food" if you're out and about on 6th St. The food was good, but there is no excuse in trying to make people feel stupid. He did seem appreciative when I pointed that out. I managed to show up right as they were doing a shift change, so despite that fact that I just ordered a hot dog, it took 45 minutes. Restaurant Details. He very kindly saved the entire service like a pro. Casino used to be good and was worth the 25 minute wait. My problem with the new, somewhat famous Casino -- beyond the rated G bathroom with no graffiti -- is all the stuff that made it great is gone. I never minded the rude kitchen staff or the 45 minute waits in the good old days. The burgers were average at best And the music was terribly loud so its safe to say that I definitely won't be going back. I can say we went there, done that and will not return. If you are in Austin don't miss this burger and ignore the angry chef in the back. Highly recommend it. I liked the atmosphere though, and at least they had a Space Invaders machine to keep me occupied while I waited. You ordered your food, tipped reasonably and got the hell out of the way. It was an ok experience. The mix of cheese, peppers and the bun were magical. My husband and I went to this place earlier in the year. He came back into the kitchen and threw out the burnt items. Service was good and the food was great. I went here late on a weeknight it was pretty dead. Chili Verde Fries werre interestingthe verde sauce is good and tangy, not sure it matches well with fries. I agree with Gern I was visiting the Austin area because my husband was about to be deployed to kuwait from Ft. When they called our names I wasn't expecting the BLT to be on a burger bun. When it arrived It was one of the best hamburgers I had ever eaten. Was there last week. What did Guy Fieri eat? I placed my order, and he asked my name. Many locals and I stopped going as the cooks are extreme jackasses and the food now takes close to 45 minutes on a slow night. I asked him if it was a BLT and he was sarcastic and informed me that everything comes on a bun. Gotta agree with the other posts about the service. There was a young cook in the back who big timed me. Too bad We had to place our own orders at the kitchen window in the back of the bar, then go back to our seat at the bar and listen to the bar staff cut down Guy F. About the only good thing was the cheap cocktails. Long wait, rude cooks, but those verde fries were amazing. We had to place our own orders at the kitchen window and listen to the bar staff cut Guy F. Casino had the BEST wings in town. Not bad, I went there in March on a friday for lunch. My husband got a bacon cheese burger and I got some eggplant burger, we also got chillie cheese fries and hot wings. I was here way back in 09, and I understand things may have changed since then. Staff was nice. Went in November Got the Amarillo Burger and it was excellent. The burgers are still good but not good enough to earn it accolades. I waited for over half an hour in a empty place for the burger. Ken Ganim. We had the buffalo burger and the amarillo burger. Some of our food was warm and some was cold.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} We all had a pleasant time. It's a shame too, because the chili cheese fries, dogs and burgers were good. Hands down. Burgers were ok, weird ordering system and very loud. Austin , TX Anonymous Tuesday, February 10, The Amarillo burger is excellent and the buns they get from a local bakery are great. If you order this burger and drink a cold beer with it you should be in heaven. I watched as he left the kitchen watching a football game and burned up some burgers on the grill. Good thing the beer's cheap and the company is always lively. Waitresses are nice enough, I guess. Handcut fries have all but disappeared. Everyone was very nice and pleasant--but they will tell you when you ordertakes about minutes to cook the burger. We watched as three cooks yelled, screamed and cussed at a door guy from down the street because he didnt' tell them "to go" order. It made our experience uncomfortable. Even begging and tipping big hasn't scored me a basket of handcut fries in months. The music was so loud we could not even hear each other talking. It was good, although the dog was a little dry. Cool decor, but people are usually more laid back than the 'tude you get from those working the food. I told him we had an open tab at the bar and he somewhat snapped at me and asked me the name on the tab. This kitchen was once a cool sometimes scary little hole-in-the-wall, local secret with the very best food of its genre. This really is a dive We had to place our own orders at the kitchen window at the back of the bar, walk back to our bar seats and listen to the bar staff cut Guy F. She told us we could start a tab at the bar and tell the cook that we had an open tab. The waitress from the bar was nice, but I have to admit I was confused by the ordering process. A bar with great burgers! I spelled out my last name and he spelled it wrong. We had to place our own orders at the kitchen window and listen to the mbar staff cut Guy F. Last 3 times I got wings they were tiny shriveled up facsimiles of the wings of yore. I found the place alright. The bartender asked me what I thought and I explained what a tool some of his staff were. It made the experience awkward. He also couldn't hear me and was a bit rude. Don't over think it, just enjoy it for what it is. My husband told me that the cooks were real cool with him and he didnt have a problem ordering or picking up our food. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}Due to a rash of automated BOTS, please login to see the map or download the mobile app.
